Storm Summit Peak
« on: January 20, 2024, 08:24:08 PM »
The Summit Peak is the newest ball in the Master line, it has the Centripetal HD core that is wrapped around the TX-23 Pearl cover. This ball has an RG of 2.46 and diff of 0.056. I drilled mine 5 x 2 and after throwing this ball for while I was impressed with the motion it makes. It gets through the fronts with easy but still revs ups in the right spot with the lower RG. This is a ball I can see myself using on the fresh and early in blocks when the surface is older, because of the lower RG in the core and it wanting to rev up quick I can’t see myself using it when I have to open my angles up. Tournament players and lower rev players who are looking for a cleaner benchmark ball are going to love the new Summit Peak.

Storm Summit Peak – WWRD 1/19/2024

Cover: TX-23 Pearl Reactive
Core: Centripetal HD-A.I.
RG: 2.46
RG. Diff.: 0.056
Finish: Reacta Gloss
Fragrance: Apple Kiwi Pie

Storm’s new Summit Peak is a Pearl Symmetric Piece.  This piece is good for Medium Oil Patterns.  PAP is 5 5/16 R 1 3/16 Up. Rev Rate: 400.  Speed: 16.5.  Drilled this piece with the Pin Up between the Fingers and the CG kicked out 1.5” from the palm.  Fresh 43’ house pattern, Out of Box ball motion was clean through the fronts with a sharp backend reaction.  Compared to the Summit, this piece is cleaner through the fronts with a sharper shape on the backend.  I also compared this to the Storm Journey (2-2 Right) and Fate (3-3 Right).  If you are looking for a piece for medium oil patterns that continues on the backend this is the piece for you.
