I'd be inclined towards the evenness and power of the Eraser Particle pearl or the newly discontinued Hammer Diesel Particle pearl. The DPP is available cheaply throughout the internet and Ebay these days. I am quite surprised at their discontinuing it, as it was agruably the best ball they made, with the widest practicality and use factor.

Another viable option is the new Pure Fuel, slightly more flippy, in my view, than the EPP, but likely fairly powerful.

I'm thinkin that your thinkin is right.

If I were to buy a Storm ball right now, it would probably be either the Eraser Particle Pearl or the X-Factor, but I think that the closest Storm ball to the SPP is the Core Power HRG.

I believe the Core Power line was just discontinued (correct, guys?), so if you want one, you'd better start looking around.
