Belmo is really pushing hard on social media that this is the best ball he's ever thrown. So I don't have high hopes for us civilians.

The more storm hypes a ball, the worse it is. I had a Drive and it wasn’t that bad per se... it just wasn’t good on any condition where I could throw literally any other ball I had. If nothing else worked, that ball was amazing for some reason

Im not Belmonte.

I dont throw the ball 18mph with 600 revs.

I do NOT need “pro” motion. What I need is AMATEUR motion.

Something that acts right going down the lane at 14mph with 200-300 revs.

I do NOT see condition that are triple oiled and have 50ml volumes.

Mine are double oiled at best, with around 20-25ml volumes. On a good day.

They are NOT sport compliant 2:1, 3:1, or even 4:1 like his are.

More like 15:1 or 20:1 ratios, “cliffed” with dry to the outsides.

I agree with them that said earlier, sounds more like promotion than Pro Motion.

Oh well. Guess if they were paying me, I would hawk their wares as well.

Pro promotion. Gotta love it.

I think they really missed an opportunity with this line. They should do balls for like Duke, PDW, and some others including the ladies. All Belmo all the time gets a little old. Plus the first two balls were not that well received.

There is a major problem with this sentiment.  I love Duke.  I think PDW probably is the best ever.  I don't have a current opinion on the ladies (though I'm inclined to be favorable at this time), but five years ago I would have laughed in your face, I can tell you that.  The problem is this: what have you done for me lately?  Duke is having a great year, granted.  But how visible has he been the last five?  Wasn't his last really good stretch when he won the US Open 7-8 YEARS ago?  He's a legend, but a name from the past WON'T SELL.  PDW still keeps it a little exciting, but he hasn't been a major force week in and week out for several years either.  PBA50 events don't count, because they aren't VISIBLE.  They don't have nearly the eyes on them or the coverage the main tour has.

On the other hand, we all know what Belmonte's done the last 5+ years.  He's the most visible person in all of bowling.  He's the most DOMINANT guy in bowling for years going on years, and is still young enough that he could reasonably continue at the very top for years more.  His style is hip, it's "the wave of the future" (maybe).  He's just the logical choice.

That said, they really did shoot themselves in the foot with the first two not being well received.  I'm surprised they're trying again, honestly.

Definitely understand the low expectations, but I do think this has the biggest chance of succeeding out of all the Belmo balls. This ball seems to be more of the IQ Tour benchmark shape with better hitting power from the bigger core with a versatile and durable cover. Let's see it perform a bit before we quit on it. Remember that the Phaze 2 was nearly written off before it got the love it deserved.

I like the motion of the ball from the initial videos. But I’ll see how it does in the hands of Luke before I decide.

I jumped on the first two. I love the Timeless works well for me. I can not give the Drive away, nobody want it and I am giving it away for free. I will wait until it comes out and wait for someone to sell it to me for the low.

Ok.  I hear this all loud and clear.  Timeless was hot or cold, mostly cold, Drive was better, but that's not saying much, and I said as much about both of them despite that not being in my best interest.  Not only is the Pro Motion nothing like them, but it's SO good that I'm going to live and die on this hill.

Imagine you combined the Idol, Phaze 2, and IQ Tour Solid, that's the Pro Motion, but it most closely resembles the Phaze 2, though it reads the lane more than the pattern like the P2 does.  It controls straighter angles like the Idol and IQ Tour, but looks really good from as deep as you want to get like the Phaze 2.  It's smooth like these 3 though, BUT again, it's closest to the P2, so if you like the P2, you'll like the Pro Motion, if you don't, you won't, pretty simple.

I'm a huge huge fan of this ball already, it's a lightning in a bottle type ball like the Hyroad and Phaze 2, AND I'm so confident in it that I'm NOT going to push it.  Take all the time you need, go to all the demos, watch all the videos, watch Flo Bowling, watch the bowlTV, watch all the TV shows, and watch both the men and women win with this thing for months, and watch your local bowlers with these at tournaments and leagues.  If you typically carry around stuff like the Phaze 2, you're just going to end up with one or more of these, it's just going to be unavoidable, so I don't feel like I need to sell it.

I know how that sounds, #sellout #stafferbias #typicalstaffer #hypetrain #advertising #marketing #blowmo #etc, and some people won't get along with it naturally, if you've got higher speed and lower revs, it probably won't shape enough for you, and if you're the opposite, it's going to hook a lot.  However, it's not chuggy and slow like the Crux Prime, it's a more durable, longer lasting, more versatile Phaze 2, that's the best way to describe it.

Say what you want, throw whatever labels around that you want, hate on it because it's a Belmo ball (I was ready to hate it myself TBH), but this thing is legit, and you WILL see it everywhere, and PLEASE hold me to that because I really really like being right, so . .

NOW, for the guy that said he didn't need PRO Motion, he needed AMATEUR motion, wait until you see the Idol Pro . . imagine if the Hustle Ink was an arrow stronger . .

Video up on YouTube:

Storm | PRO-Motion - Stroker/Tweener/Cranker

Really like the shape I'm seeing, and also like that it's a ball down from Crux Prime: more versatile in my book.

Luke I will hold you accountable for me spending my money on the pro motion. If you are right I will be glad. If you wrong  >:(. What type of drilling you suggest for a two hander.

Doesn't seem to matter with that cover, I drilled mine like Steve K and Alex did in the video they put up on Storm's channel and get exactly the same look, but I've seen dozens of Crux Primes all drilled different and they all act the same.  5 x 5 x 3 looks pretty sweet though.  If you're a two hander, there's just not a chance this ball looks bad for you, I just couldn't imagine it.  Has there ever been a two hander that the Hyroad or Phaze 2 sucked for?  Pro Motion is the same deal.  Lower rev rates I could see being hit and miss, they'd have to have a solid basic game and not rely wholly on the ball doing all the work.  That's where the Idol Pro comes in . . if you depend heavily on the ball, the IP is going to be the choice there.

Luke.. wait one... I'm low rev (225-250). Phaze 2 is my favorite ball of all time. Idol... Hit or miss. From your last response I'm not sure whether to look at ProMotion or Idol Pro...

If you like the Phaze 2, you'll like the Pro Motion, and if you didn't like the Idol, you'll like the Idol Pro.  If you DO like the Idol, there's a chance the Pro could be too much down lane for you.  So really you could be looking at them both.  I compare the Pro Motion to both the Idol and Phaze 2 in my video, and it's much closer to the Phaze 2.
