Heavy oil solid and Heavy oil pearl
« on: September 15, 2008, 12:42:22 PM »
I need a solid to be above my rapid fire, and a pearl to be above my agent
The arsenal should be
-strong solid
-strong pearl
-agent
-rapid fire
-power groove dry/r

The solid i was thinking on a storm dimension or maybe a roto grip cell, and the pearl a grand illusion, momentum or twisted.
My main concern is that i know that the dimension and the cell are going to be far above the rapid fire but my main concern is that i ean t a pearl much stronger than the agent
If u guys could recomend me another options that would be great
I am a tweener,i throw 16-17 mph 470 rpm

Pretty obvious that you should pick up a Dimension and a Gravity Shift.

Dimension won't be too huge of a step, just don't drill it too strong to help retain some energy for the back part of the lane.  I personally love my Dimension, but I also have about half of your rev rate and see quite a bit of oil usually.  I still have too little experience with my Gravity Shift to say much about it (tickets for sporting events and power outages due to storms mean I've bowled only twice in the past two weeks!!)

Also, the Cell Pearl is on the way in few weeks.  Considering how amazing the original Cell is, it may be worth the wait.

The Grand Illusion is a "solid", it just looks like it should be a pearl.

As someone who has a Gravity or two, excellent selection for a pearl but it is not a Agent. The Gravity reads the mids better which has been valuable for judging the reaction. One of the centers I bowl in does not strip on the night of our league and my Gravity (5 pin up x 4 - 3" pin buffer) has had no problem reading the pattern. My original Gravity (5.5 pin down x 3 - 1.5" buffer)I use when the "bump" is well defined as this ball arcs and is easy to read.

A Dimension or Cell should work for the strong solid. From what I've seen the Dimension goes a little longer than the Cell and has more backend.

I'll nominate the Shift for a stronger pearl than your Agent. I also have an Agent and the Shift fits nicely above it.
