Storm Sync
« on: December 13, 2012, 12:43:47 PM »
It apears Storm is set to release a new ball. Bowlers Journal mentions 2/5/13.

I seen a picture of the actual ball and its Asymetrical and it's a Solid.

Just wondering what ball the Sync will replace? I know the NANO has been since March 2011... so could it be that it's time to replace the NANO with some newer stronger core or some newer coverstock creation?

Your thoughts?

I'm hoping they stick with the ERG that's in the Lucid.  For me, the NRG much like R3X was just too much.

Strangley, I loved the Anarchy.

I completely agree Xcessive.  I had to sell my Nano just because I never had enough oil to throw it.  I was so excited when it came out and was throughly disappointed with it.  Same when the Invasion came out.  Just too much cover strenght that it burned up. They never should have discontinued the Original VG. I too LOVE the Anarchy.  Gets through the heads enough.  I've got two in reserve in the basement!

I could not read the box in the pic as it was too blurry. Could anyone read which cover, rg, diff, and mb strength it had?
Thanks

I believe that was done intentionally.  Leaking a little information just to build up anticipation.

To all whom inquire,

I will go on record to say this piece will outsell the VG and Nano (for those avg league bowlers whom lived by that piece, and in my area i've seen plenty, but like all of you I agree, ultra strong piece, too strong if you have more than like 8 degrees of tilt, OMG!)!!!!!

You're right i don't know what "tilt" is.

But what little i do know, the ball is forgiving in  areas where other high end pieces are not.

Happy Holidays

I haven't loved an asymmetrical with any kind of normal layout in years....all the new asymmetricals roll at my feet. Good for going straight on oil that I'll never see.....i miss the strong core weak cover combinations. Doubt we'll see any company go back that route cause they can con people into buying the "more hook" and there are enough people out there who still need it. For the people that don't need it too bad i guess.....even the lucid is pukey for me. How about reactor on this new core??? That would sell and strike.

Storm has been 'demoing' this at numerous match makers the past 3 months or so; it was definitely strong & wass more responsive in the mid-lane and backend, but not stronger as an Invasion. It reminded me (color wise) to a Red Sun Storm.

Thank God for that.  What a pile that ball was.

JustRico,

When you say "stronger as an Invasion"... are you meaning upfront and early strong, or backend strong? My guess is your saying upfront strong but I'm just wanting confirmation.

When seeing this ball being demoed at the Matchmakers, how would you guess it may compare to the Invasion and Nano?
