Storm Test Ball At Seminar
« on: October 23, 2009, 03:44:08 AM »
Hello all...

We got a chance to throw this ball yesterday with no hint to as to what it was.
A basic solid black ball with some white swirls in it, with a marked MB, which
is now using a small version of the Storm bolt logo to mark it. Some
have speculated that it is a solid Reign.   After throwing this I would be more
inclined to believe it will go into the Virtual line as it was easily the
strongest of the balls available to test.   The amazing part is that it looked
like it recovered for a solid ball even stronger then the VG with the same
layout on it on a basic THS.   If I would venture a guess I would say its
probably a hybrid of some sort.    If anyone else has had a chance to throw this
ball we''d love to hear some more information on your observations!

I am going to guess if it had a marked MB, it wouldn't be a Reign but as you guys are saying something in the higher end line. Premier Line.

Doug Sterner commented on a ball similar to this that he saw and/or even threw. His comment was that the marked Mb may have been used to throw off onlookers...

It would make sense to put out a ball to replace the T-Road Solid.  It's probably a solid cover with the Reign core.  The other possiblilty is a hybrid ball with the Continuum core found in the Dimensions, we'll just have to wait and see.

Taken from Storm''s website:  "Pro shops will also be able to field test Storm''s next Premier Line release."  This was in their Storm events calender under "Storm''s Forecast Seminars" for pro shops.  And the "Premier" line is the only line that I know of that mark the MB on.  So a new "Virtual _____" or starting a new name all together?

Here''s the Link I found it in.  It''s on the right hand side of the calendar, under "Event Details".

Probably has updates to the core used in the Virtual Gravity/Engergy and Gravity Shift.  Probably a new cover as well.  This could mean that we'll start seeing R2X covers on the Thunder and Hot Lines soon.

Possibly Storm's version of the Mutant Cell but in the Virtual line?
