I would also argue true to a degree. I won't go into my experience (and I have experience with both), but look at it from a business point of view. What does Storm have to gain by having it's 2 brands overlap substantially? I know a brand can stand on it's own, but I don't think it's uncommon or ridiculous to expect a 'signature' from each company. It's more a very high level generalization as there are many factors to get the ball to do what you need in your hand, on that lane, on that condition...
I think a 'signature' is a good thing for brand recognition. Today, people, rightly or wrongly, want to see the skid and flip reaction. Storm can do that. But when you watch pros, using either Storm or Roto, they tend to go with more 'rolly' equipment because it is more consistent on the difficult shots.
