Help From The Storm Crowd
« on: January 08, 2006, 01:08:41 AM »
I am looking for a low Rg, solid coverstock, oil ball.  I need two seperate catagories, reactive & particle. Give me your opinions please.

As with all things, this is my opinion. And we all know, opinions are like butt-holes, we all have one.

Vertigo comes to mind, naturally, the Trifecta, and the Paradigm Passion when it comes out.  Those are really the only 3 oil balls.  Vertigo is asymmetric, and the Passion core APPEARS to be asymmetric, but I don't know.  RG is similar on all of them (2.47 on Vertigo and Trifecta, 2.48 on the Passion).  Passion and Vertigo are reactive solids, Trifecta is solid particle.  Passion has the highest hook rating of the three according to Storm's ball comparison charts.  From what I've seen of the Paradigm, it revs up incredibly well, but it gets jumpy pretty quickly.  I'm ordering a Vertigo myself, I'll let you know when I get it, but I'm guessing for the best combination of hook potential and versatility, plus what will hold a line the longest, the Vertigo would be the ball to get.  Heard a lot of good things about it.
