Best surface for natural?
« on: December 21, 2009, 03:38:12 AM »
Just bought a Natural and LOVE the reaction. Wondering what surface everyone has theirs at as mine moves alot in the oob surface. I was thinking maybe polishing it quite a bit to use in the later block sets. Will this change the reaction shape that I love?
thanks

I just drilled a natural. We decided to make it for burnt times of league. We also polished it and when I went to use it I just don't get any reaction. So the next trip to the pro shop we will take off the polish. Then I will see where I am at. If you have any more questions just pm me. Thanks Russ

I bought a hype for the cheetah pattern on our pba league.I started the first day with a 4000w/polish finish. The ball was dead.It had no turn an no pop.I then took off the polish an keep it at 4000 an it was sweet.A small ark to the pocket with very nice carry

adding polish will make it longer than oob, but don''t expect the ball to be ''angular'' like resin... It will still have the urethane ''smooth arc'' off the dry (not withstanding your specs and lane conditions)

thanks for the replies. I really like how it reacts now, i just think it will be too strong for what I want it for which is late block when the lanes are toast.
thanks

I just put up the same post here and over at BBE three days ago.  Got a few responses.

I love my Natural too.  I think I'm going to take it down to 1000 so it can handle a little more oil.

1000 is the oob finish.
