The Street Rod
« on: April 18, 2008, 12:34:49 AM »
Just got some info from Storm on these 2 new balls.

Anybody got anymore info or performance tid bits?

Of course they are offering solid and a pearl resin versions of the Reactor coverstock right off the bat.

The core looks to be the style from the original Columbia Messenger...a ball with a bottom flip puck.

I am guessing a replacement for the Jolt line???

ANy help here guys?

No J-Mac but from the sale sheet they sent me with the picture of the core, the shape is nearly identical to the original Messenger.

I just picked up my Street Rod Solid and Jason got the morning...and Jason got the Pearl.  Will throw them tomorrow.  I do have to say they smell wonderful. His smells like strawberry and mine smells like blueberry.  Great so far!!

Thought I would continue on this thread since my question is about the Street-Rod solid.

Are both the Street-Rods made for a Light to Medium Oil condition? the internet bowling stores list the Street-Rod solid as a Light to Medium Oil ball but I thought I had better come in here and ask first.

I'm looking for a Light to Medium Oil ball to go under my Black Widow Pearl when the lanes start to dry up. Thanks, Jake

The street rod solid is not for light to medium IMO. I used it during demo days and this ball will handle quite a bit of oil. It looks just like the cell as far as color goes..

Thanks, I think I'll try the Street Rod Pearl.
