New Arsenal for PBA League/Tournaments
« on: April 29, 2008, 06:40:27 AM »
So I picked up a couple new pieces over the last few weeks and think I am finally ready to drill them all up for my summer PBA league and tournaments.  I am bowling a PBA Regional on the Scorpion in August, and probably some other Sport Tournaments around Michigan.  Here is what I've got in mind, any opinions or changes you would make feel free to comment, specs in profile...

Ball, (surface grit), (drill)

Special Agent, (1000), (pin in ring finger, CG stacked)
Special Agent, (2000), (pin over bridge, CG kicked 1'' from grip center)
Rapid Fire (2000), (pin in palm, CG right of thumb--RICO drill)
Rapid Fire (4000), (pin over bridge, CG kicked 1'' from grip center)
Epic (50 games on it) (4000), (pin under ring, MB 1.5'' right of thumb)
Silver Streak SE (50 games on it) (4000), (pin over ring, CG stacked)
Spitfire (50 games on it) (4000), (pin under bridge, CG kicked 1'' from grip center)
Fired Up (50 games on it) (1500 polish), (pin over bridge, CG kicked 1'' from grip center)
Blue Dot

yea ive thought about a gravity in between the specials and the rapid fires, but my buddy has both the SA and the RF and says that the RF is actually a good step down from the SA.  Therefore, I think there would be too small of a gap between the SA and the RF to put a gravity shift.  In addition, I was going to let the pin up SA pick up some lane polish, or maybe just take it straight to 4000 and hit it lightly with the grey scotch brite.  This should close the gap even more....

I'd say you have the mostly heavy stuff and all medium stuff completely covered.  I would go and grab a Tropical Storm or a Neptune or two (you like pairs ) to help cover the drier stuff.  In the few longer tournaments I have done, the lanes got so destroyed I always ended up using my Neptune.
