Drilling a brand new Storm Eraser
« on: April 29, 2012, 01:16:05 PM »
I've recently come back to bowling after recovering from some surgery last year.  I've spent the past couple of months building a 'new' Storm arsenal with an eye towards getting back to bowling regionals again.  As part of that exercise I've gotten my hands on a NIB original Storm Eraser with pretty good specs.  My plan is to use the Eraser for shorter, more broken down patterns since I've always loved pearl accutread for that use.  I am looking for some suggestions on layout that can be useful for both an inside line shot with control as well as a down and in roll.

For background I am a medium speed bowler (around 15-16 mph at the pin deck) with two very different hand releases; one a lower rev. up the back shot and the other a medium-high rev. shot with in between roll.

My other balls in this arsenal include:

Invasion 1000 abralon 5 x 4
Marvel 2000 abralon 5 x 3
Dark Thunder 3000 abralon 5 x 4
Anarchy 3000 abralon 4 x 4
Prodigy 4000 abralon 4 1/2 x 4

As you can see in general I am very boring with my layouts - relying on a few favorites but I am thinking about something different for the Eraser.  It is my plan to keep the Eraser at box polish.  Any thoughts are welcome.

Well they may seem like boring layouts to you, but if you want versatility you cant have all kinds of exotic layouts.... Unless you plan on bringing 20+ balls to each event ....
