Really liking what I am seeing of the SUPER NATURAL so far. Nice blend of control and just enough oomph. Also my new spare ball, replacing my polyester SOCCER BALL.

LOL.    I'm keeping that SOCCER BALL for the Pete ... and it may reappear in the future for spares if my initial reading of the SUPER NATURAL was wrong.

Not sure if this makes sense to many (it does to me) but absolute confidence in a spare ball is a must.  I've said time and time again, the plastic (in my case) is the most important ball in my entire bag.  House-to-house and condition-to-condition, it is one thing that remains constant.

Jeff---The SuperNatural has big shoes to fill compared to your spare Soccer ball.  Your fill percentage with the Soccer ball has to be one of the highest around anywhere.  Unlike Seppa's I never miss a 10 pin urethane.  lol

Riggs, would you say the cover is absorbing some oil then?  The reason I don't use Urethane much anymore is because the ball ends up looking like a glazed donut after a game or so.

I use a microfiber towel very thoroughly after every shot. It's box shiny so I am not much worried about oil - and have not seen any change in reaction. Might be different if I was using it scuffed up.

Your thoughts on the Lights Out and Freak N Frantic? Would be helpful as you're the only objective staffer that reviews balls on this site.

Sorry but I have neither of those. Freak N Frantic basically a 2FAST and that ball was no good for me.  LIGHTS OUT I am hearing so much good about that I think I am going to order one ... but won't get it until I get back from Vegas Senior majors.

Just a note on the urethane as a spare ball.  I bought the original natural for the same conditions guys are still getting them for.  I discovered quickly that it was a better spare ball than my plastic.  As Riggs say, the polyester is just too squirty on todays oils, but then occasionally you get flip on the back.  Urethane gives me a smooth early move that is not too big, then totally tame on the back end.  My percentage on 3-10, 3-6, and 3-6-10 all went up.  I even like it better on bucket combinations.

I agree 100 percent with this. My spare shooting this week at the Senior Open was stellar with the SUPER NATURAL. In 48 games, I think I missed 3 or 4 single pins (one came at end of a block when my ring finger was swelling so much I couldn't get it in ball - had to change out grips to bigger ones before next squad) and maybe half a dozen combos, while making several splits and washouts. The non-squirt and smoother back-end move is everything compared to polyester!

Thats good to know, I will start practicing my 7-pin with it for the Dutchman in a couple weeks. I have a Super Natural and wanted to take my spare ball out for this tournament. I've only thrown a few games with my Super Natural but have put up some big numbers and look forward to using this ball in the Guardianed Team House. Will have picks up and a full review sometime this week.

I agree completely!  I am loving my Natural for spares.  Have hardly ever struck with it!

But for eliminating squirt... as AvaBob says.....Awesome.  I am relatively owning my 7 pin(flat to broken wrist) after many disastrous seasons with it!  For combos like the 2-7, 247(flat wrist), 2478 (cupped wrist)love it!

I've also picked up easily the 3 10 a RARITY for this lefty.

This strike dud is a spare star for me!  Drilled strong!

For striking I wish I had picked up the Blue Urethane remake.  Looks like it might have a touch of reactive in it based on similar bowlers to myself who can strike with it!
