Super Sport ?

Why only one review on this ball ?!

I thought the "hot" series was popular ?  Low price,...smooth but strong.....why no love here ?!

I've only seen a couple Super Sports up here in NH and I'm really not impressed.  For my money, I would buy more Pro Stocks and especially HR Pro Stock Pearl.  Just shot 290 last Wednesday with mine and its my favorite ball right now.  Its probably the most versatile ball I have with just a label drilling in it.

I think that's a deceptively powerful core, for what reason I do not know.

Ijust drilled up and original Hot Rod, but haven't used it yet. And I just got a NIB Super Sport, but am not sure when I can get it drilled. It seems full of promise, or I wouldn't have gotten one.

Tenpins, if you are fed up with Particles and like RotoGrip balls, you cannot go wrong with the RS series or the new EPIC.  The Epic makes the WMB look like a spare ball.  There are many, many very good reactive resin balls out there that are on the cheap side that still hit very good.  I would search around, but for my money, you can't beat Roto of Storm

Interesting.  I thow both of them regularly, and they cover about the same number of boards (a he11 of a lot) for me.  The WMB is earlier for me, and the Epic is more angular on the backend.

Not so surprising. Different bowlers, different releases, mixed together withdifferent oil patterns should produce both different and interesting results. Without further details as a basis for comparisons, may I suggest that no one make any rash assumptions.

Up here in NY we have been selling a ton of the Pearl HRSS. WE sold many of the HRSS Solid but the Pearl is a real big seller for us. Almost anyone who comes in for a ball ends up leaving with that unless they already know what they want. ITs a super great buy for the price.

most definately! this ball is great. love it for oily house shot playing down and in, smooth midlane and recovery and continuation through the pins. i have mine laid out strong actually. 4 inch pin to pap with cg 3 inches to pap with weight hole 1` inch below my pap.

on most conditons on synthetics this is my go to ball. the pearl i find tho is more flippy with the same drilling. but they are a 1-2 punch for me on house shots and sport patterns alike.

that would be my opinion on it.

as you get more down towards what I consider to be medium oil the super sport allows me to make a good amount of area and cover quite a few boards. It is weaker than my diablo, but not by a great deal.

thanks CYR ......
my revrate is maxed out at your low point .... but....like I said..as long as you don't assume it'll go coast-to-coast...you'll be ok !

BTW...

just saw the picture of the Super Sport Pearl on 123bowl ....is the pearl the SAME core, or slightly different side-puck ?

stats are the same, but the puck looks different....OR, is the pearl just better picture ?

Can anyone clarify?

Thanks

The pearl core is the same as the solid super sport (modified Thunder core).  The cover is the same as the Fired Up.  The result is a lower flare (in comparison to most Storm stuff that flares a ton), smooth and even hooking ball.  It does have a ton of hitting power, sending messengers for me on almost every ball.
