« on: November 20, 2007, 05:34:38 AM »
Ive recently seen the storm ice on buddies pro shop and cheapbowlingballs.com and I was wondering was it just a spare ball or would I be able to use it on a DDDDDDDDRRRRRRYYYYYYYY house shot or tournament.  Because I have been running into both

I bought mine for spares.  If it's that dry, then a plastic ball might work.

I have thrown the Ice Storm for two weeks now.  It is great as a spare ball.  I liked the clear, Team Storm balls but this beats that hands down.  The clear balls had a tendency to grab the real dry part of the lane.  The Ice Storm has no trouble with that.  If the lanes were dry enough, I'm sure you could use it as a strike ball.

How do you get one of these drilled for a spare ball?

Figured I'd pull up this old post to tell you about my success with the Ice Storm the last couple of weeks...

The last 2 weeks I've ended up on lanes 9-10 (2 different leagues) and struggled with serious over/under from everything in my bag.

Last week - 206-173, switched to ICE Storm 248!
Last night - 183-181, switched to ICE Storm 247!

Next time I'm on that pair, my ICE Storm will be the first ball out of my bag!

I've seen an Ice Storm at my local pro shop, and since the ball is so hard (and affordable) I think about getting one to replace my aging Target Zone

I did just that and have my Blue Hammer, Grey Angle and Armageddon sitting next to my Special Agent, SpitFire and SuperNova XP.

You can't beat the old stuff for control.
