Spit Fire Fired Up whats the differnce ?

I love my Fired Up. When the lanes dry up nothing i would rather have then my fired up. My guy down at my local shop has been telling me to try the spit fire  he says its the weight block of the fired up flipped upside down. I have never seen anyone throw it yet so some advice from you guys could be helpful so if you know how it reacts or you have one let me know how you feel about it/ I also don't know if i need a snap ball since i just got the angular one which I LOVE

When the lanes dry up? Hell I throw mine in heavy oil haha.

But I've been curious about the Spit Fire too. I love my Fired Up and was wondering how the reaction might differ between the two.

I have the spit fire and had the fired up with same pin to pap's drillings on them, the spit fire is strong arcing motion were the fired up skid snap's off the dry boards. I prefer the spit fire's reaction and better carry than the fired up i owned, it was feast or famine if it would carry or leave corner's.

Btw the spit fire needs medium oil to work well, it does get jumpier off of dryer medium's but nothing like the fired up.

Flipping the core over like that tends to mellow out skid-snap balls or add skid-snap to mellower balls.  Since the Fired Up is, by most accounts, very skid-flippy, flipping the core over should tame it, even if it is largely the same ball other than that.

Also, it's green and silver instead of red.  Everyone knows red balls hook more.

I have Fireup with the pin below the middle finger and a 45 degree CG.  This ball goes long and flips.  I drilled the Split Fire with pin above middle finger and the CG kicked out about 35-40 degree.  This ball is a lot tamer on the backend.  Allows me to square up and go straighter up the boards than the fireup.  Great for dry backends.

For me - The Spit Fire is very angular when it hits its breakpoint. I like to play deeper with this ball, because I know the ball can recover and hit that pocket. I believe the Spit Fire is a great benchmark ball by all means.

Spitfire: Little more aggressive coverstock, little more backend.

VERY COMPARABLE TO THE FIRED UP.

From what I have seen on the STORM site and during the leagues, there is not much of a difference. Maybe that has to do with how they are drilled, but I really do not see why anyone would have both in their bag.

I have both in my bag and pretty much the spitfire is more rollier than the fired up.

My buddy has both drilled exactly the same.

Also to however said more aggressive coverstock on spit fire your dumb, its still reactor pearl.

Back to the point, the Spit Fire starts a good 5-7 boards earlier than the fired up and is tamer on the backend. The Spit Fire covers a little bit if any at all more than the Fired UP. The balls compliment each other by being rolly vs skid snap and the Spit Fire is his favorite as it is more predictable for him.
