Good lord that is a long span.  The longest span I have EVER drilled was about 5 3/8 total span.

ya thats the reaction I usually end up getting from people...  not really sure why....  

I know they are big.. but is it really that uncommon...

has anyone seen anything larger or as large?

or should I go on tour not as a bowler, but as a freak in the side show

Longest span I have seen is 5 7/8 and it was a relaxed fit for the guy. Funny thing is he is not but like 6'1". Man just had long fingers.

It sounds like you must have more then one person punching balls. If one person is punching your balls and they all fit different...FIND A NEW DRILLER!

Bevel has nothing to do with a ball cracking, I throw my balls straight from the drill press and none of them have ever cracked. LOL

I cant find a new driller, where I live there is only one, he's 70 years old, and doesn't know what a pap is  Most of my stuff is drilled  in duluth but thats 3 ours away and I ca't woek with him close;y

Retired PBA Tour champ Don Genalo had a span over 6 inches, I am pretty sure. Fingers long and thin just like him.  My fingers did not even come close to reaching his finger holes when I put my thumb in his ball.

Hey guys, has anyone on here had to contact storm Tech support?  I know that this is almost a given, but has anyone had trouble getting through to them?

I sent them an initial Email explaining my problem, and I got  a response the next morning, in the response They asked for pics of the ball, so I replied and send 3 attached pics, 2 days later I have still gotten no response from Storm, but I get a message saying that the message was unable to reach them and that it is being retried.. as a back up i tried again sending them a message with the smae pics, but in a reduced size, and those have been bounced back aswell..

so in a third attempt I have tried to send them another email through the form on the storm website, with a link to my putile account with pics on there...

My question is has anyone else had this many problems? or am I just that lucky,

I've called Storm for advice on how to drill a one inch pin in ball.  I was e-mailed a drill sheet in less then five minutes after I got off the phone with technical support.  Call the number listed on the storm website and ask for technical support.  I think you will be surprised at their level of service.

Just got an email back from the guys @ storm, Bob / Ernest informed me to continue using the ball as it wont effect performance, but should the crack spread that it would be replaced.
