Right now my son has a Strike Zone that he would like to replace. HE was thinking about the T-ROAD SOLID. What do you all think, will it replace the Zone or is there another ball in the SOTRM line that would be better. I was also looking at the SUREFIRE, but wanted some other opinions.

T-Road Solid is a great ball. The RS2 Reactive coverstock is one of the best covers in bowling. The core has proven to be one of the best over the years. Its just a great all around ball. Whats nice about the solid is that you can take the surface up to 4000 abralon and get the same length as the pearl without having to worry about carrydown.

A person's success with the solid also depends on their style, i.e. stroker, tweener, cranker. The way I have my T-road Solid prepared is oob at 1000, and use it on most heavier oil conditions, and have met great success playing deep inside which for me is between 4-5 arrows. It can also go straight on heavier conditions, between 1-10 usually works depending on the house, speed, revs, etc.
Anyway, that's just my two cents. Unfortunately I don't get to use it on heavy oil much, because my league house isn't heavy enough for it with my style. Anyway, hope this helps!

The Solid is strong. It has good length with a nice arcing backend.
It will look similar to the SZ but a little stronger on the back.

I find the Solid to be suprisingly angular on the backend for a dull solid. It is a very good ball though and I really like it on THS, shot 300 this week with it in league and its definitely been a winner for me so far.

I polished this one up and put the pin on top of my middle finger. I am right handed by the way. This gives me a smooth, strong motion with enough length to play inside.
STORM ON!!!!!!!

Secret Agent might be compared to what the Strike Zone might be, but there is also alot of mixed reviews.. I personally love mine, its great. But a T-Road Solid would also be a good look as well.

i just drilled mine last night did a lil different drilling on if put the cg a 1/2 inch away from center of span and the pin at 3:00 threw it on fresh lanes nice smooth arc with a train like hitting power, threw it on beaten up dryer lanes still smooth but kept the power when hitting pins
