I really liked the Gravity Shift that came out a few years ago and noticed that the Marvel Pearl has the same coverstock......Is that the only thing they have in common or is this ball similar in reaction to the Gravity Shift??

 

What I am seeing is that the Marvel Pearl is more controllable. The Gravity had that variation of the shape-lok core that started in the Shift and Attitude Shift and ended up in the Virtual Gravity & Energy. The shape-lok is a very strong and flippy weight block as anyone who threw those pieces can attest to.

 

The Centripetal core that started in the Prodigy and Marvel seems to create a smoother motion. I know that both my Prodigy and Marvel had controllable looks at the breakpoint, where the balls with the Shape-lok cores have a quick & snappy move off the spot.

 

Storm is good at varying their line: For a player that needs a little more help off the spot, then get one of the shape-lok core balls. For a player that wants a smoother change-of-direction, then get the Centripetal cored balls.
