Tell me about the Dimension

Okay gents.  I've narrowed my choice down to two balls.

#1-Dimension
#2-Virtual Gravity

My local center has pretty oily.  It only makes sense to drill something I can use during league.  So, I've narrowed it down to these two balls.  I've seen alot of VGs and they all look quite good.  I've seen one or two Dimensions.  It looks earlier and less angular than the VG.

My specs:
--Higher ball speed than most. My average is around 17mph at the pin decks by our Quibica scoring system.
--My rev rate is middle of the road, right about 325, perhaps alittle more.
--I can move my PAP about 1" depending on the release I'm using(4 1/4 to 5 1/4)
--I tend to like roll arc type balls with surface on the majority of patterns I see.

My arsenal in order of strength:
Columbia Momentum Swing--800grit sandpaper, pin above ring
Bruswick Rattler--1000grit sandpaper, pin above ring
T-Road Solid--2000grit sandpaper, pin under ring
Black widow pearl--2000grit sandpaper, pin above bridge, mb 2" right of thumb
Wrath Dead Flush--2000 grit plus polish, pin in ring
Brunswick Rampage--400 grit plus polish, pin above bridge

I expect there maybe alittle overlap with one of the stronger pieces, but thats okay.  Perhaps one of you can give me a direct comparison with one of the above mentioned balls.

^^^^^^^^^  oh ok.... well the dimension wasnt good for me. drilled pin under ring cg kicked a lil with a small weight hole. it was a smooth arc but just too touchy. i played with the cover more times than i threw it!! LOL  if i can find you wana buy it??? 17 games TOPS

I have a VG and a T-Road Solid.

The T-Road is one great piece for heavy oil, bar none! They all say the VG is a heavy oiler as well, but I see people throwing this ball on all kinds of conditions. For me, it is best on med-heavy oil.

I don''t own a Dimension, but have seen others throw it. IMHO, I believe the Dimension is a better, more versatile piece than the VG, but again.....this is strictly from observation, since I have not thrown one yet.

I had an old Triple XXX-treme pearl, that I just recently traded for another Doom. This ball, even drilled 5.5"x 5.5" fairly weak, was just as strong as my VG, that I have now.

In conclusion...the Dimension seems to be more rolly, and more arcy, as well as having a nice balance between strength and control.

The VG is skid snappish, angular on the back, and hits very hard. I believe it is a great ball for those that throw the ball with a lot of speed.

So pick ur poison! You can''t go wrong either way!

I've owned 2 Dimensions and have a VG. Both balls are solid choices with the R2X cover so it comes down to the engine in each. For me and from what I've seen, the Dimension shines when you are on a pattern when you can go up and at 'em as it's a rolly piece. The VG on the other hand can handle that shot plus it allows you to open the lane up faster to create more mistake room. Who does not want more area?

Thanks guys.  

Both balls sound great.  I'm leaning towards the Dimension b/c I've always been hit or miss with strong assy cored balls.

I say the dimension for the heavier conditions. It's nice and rolly. Had one drilled up for the shark with a shorter pin and lean towards this ball more then the VG on that pattern.

Alright, I've decided to go with the Dimension.

I'll probably put my favorite "strong" ball drill on it.  I like pin under ring, cg kicked out with a low hole in the pos thumb quad.

Any other suggestions??
