Thing Lives vs Storm XXXtreme for long/heavy oil
« on: October 19, 2004, 03:50:06 PM »
Hello

I am looking for some feedback and potential drilling patterns for a ball to use on long (>40ft) and heavy oil patterns, such as PBA pattern B and C or sport patterns.

I currently have a Element Au79 and the Diesel Big Block. Both balls tend to slide way too much in the longer oil but are working very well in my two league shots, which has shorter oil patterns.

Based on a little feedback from the proshop I have narrowed it down to either the Thing Lives or the Storm Triple Xtreme. What is your feedback on either of these balls. Does anyone have a recommended drilling? Probably need to set up the ball for a midlane roll.

I am a low to medium Rev Bowler with medium ball speed (13 to 14.5MPH). I simply do not have the Revs to consistently play across the middle in these longer patterns.
