Looking for long and strong reaction...
« on: May 27, 2008, 07:26:36 AM »
I am looking for a ball that will clear the heads and really turn the corner off of friction.  I'm looking to use it on broken down PBA patterns, various sport shots, and broken down house shots.  I have a lot of rolly equipment (Brunswick) so I'm looking only for long and strong.  I am not too familiar with Storm's line up, but have been looking at either a T-Road Pearl, Agent, or Rapid Fire Pearl when it is released.  I have thrown an old Spitfire, but would like something a little stronger.  What are the differences in these pieces? Stats are in profile.

Thanks

The T-Road Pearl is definately a backend monster -- long and strong.  If you can find one (easier said than done since they are discontinued), a Paradigm Domination also fits the bill.  When it comes out, the Rapid Fire Pearl should be pretty strong on the backend as well -- it'll have an inverted version of the same core as the Spit Fire, but with the stronger R2S Pearl coverstock that's on the T-Road Pearl)  If you want something that's still got good length, but reads the midlane a little more and has more continuous motion through the backend, the Gravity Shift is a great option.  One of my friends threw somebody else's yesterday for about five frames, and immediately ran to the proshop to drill one up for himself.

The T-Road pearl and the solid are staying (according to
Jeff Carter). The Thunderstruck pearl and solid are being
discontinued, apparently.

I throw a Fired-Up, and it is a killer on the back end. I would suggest you get either it or the only thing I throw that's stronger (the Visionary Green Gargoyle), but they are both discontinued. I am not too current with Storm equipment, so I couldn't suggest a good alternate to the Fired Up.

Rapid Fire Pearl or a Hammer Vibe (Blue/Cherry/Emerald doesn't matter)
