Polish a Spitfire
« on: November 26, 2006, 08:30:46 AM »
What's the best method of polishing the spitfire. I've got about fifty games on it and want to make sure that the reaction stays the same. Any suggestions?

Well, cleaning it after 3-7 games everytime helps and prevents loss of reaction. If you want to polish it, just go to your local pro-shop and have them do the trick on a ball spinner, or if you have one of your own just grab some polish off of any of the bowling websites such as www.bowling.com and get some. You do not have to have a spinner to do it, just apply the polish to a clean rag and rub it into the ball.

Any specific grit or polish? I'm concerned because i've heard that some people have lost reaction after polishing. I don't know if there is any truth to those statements.

You wouldn't lose a reaction just by putting polish on a ball. All polish does is clean the ball and brings the reaction back. Some polish adds a couple feet to the reaction causing more hook ability.
