Step down ball...
« on: May 30, 2009, 09:20:43 AM »
I'm looking for something to bring out after my 2D. Changing lines is not a

problem for me really but I really need something a little weaker. What I have

been looking at is the Hy-Road, T road Pearl, and the Mars. My 2nd gets plenty

length and the backend is huge, what I'd really like is something that would

go just as long but not make such a profound move. So out of those three which

ball would make a better ball to switch to in your opinion?

I see the Mars as being too weak a ball for what you are looking for... I can definitely see the HyRoad working to your advantage because of the hybrid cover, it will have some midlane with the solid part and backend from the pearl

My Arsenal:
Rogue Cell (coming soon)
Bounty(4.5 x 4.75 Fresh 1000 Abralon)
Twisted Fury(5 x 4 500 Abralon + Reacta Shine)
Raw Hammer Pain(Leverage 1000 Abralon)
Blue Vibe(5 x 5 4000 Abralon + Reacta Shine)

Thats kind of what I was thinking, I heard some people in the bowling center say it was stronger than they liked but I'm not sure how weak a ball they were looking for. The hyroad was what I was planning on getting but I wasn't sure if it'd be too much. Thanks for your input.

I would go with the T-Road Pearl. In many cases the Hy-Road is actually stronger or just way to similar to the 2D. I'd go for a full shell down and straight pearl in the T-Road Pearl.

In most cases, I would suggest the T-Road Pearl MagicMike, but he is looking for something with a little less profound move in the back that is why I suggested the HyRoad. Every T-Road Pearl ive seen has had a very defined breakpoint with alot on the backend

I understand that, but with the weaker coverstock I'm more than willing to bet even with a pin down/early rolling drill and surface the T-Road Pearl would still fit the bill. I just know for a fact by owning a Hy-Road and 2D with the same layout thats not the path to go for what he is looking for right now.
