Coverstock question...
« on: June 10, 2006, 07:02:22 AM »
Given that my favorite two balls of the past were the original Thunder (Curelyon) and the original X-Factor (ACCU-Tread), I would like it if someone could explain the evolution of Storm coverstocks into its current line.

Meaning, did EOX come more from the Curelyon side of things, or the ACCU-Tread, or Monsoon, etc.

I have a Dark Thunder right now and it has the Monsoon coverstock. While I like the Dark Thunder very much, it doesn't seem to have much in common, coverstock-wise, with the original Thunder. It's not worse, it's just different. So I would assume Monsoon comes either from a different resin altogether, or a different supplier, etc.

I liked Curelyon as a coverstock very much. I liked its characteristics. I would like to know if any of the current Storm balls evolved from Curelyon, if possible, and are now just sold under a different name.

I would also like to know how to pronounce "Curelyon," but that's a different subject.

I hope this makes sense.
