Thunderstruck Observations
« on: September 24, 2006, 11:15:30 PM »
Just got mine. Drilled for strong arc (see review). Very, Very surprised at how strong this ball is for a mid-pricer.  Real early roll and strong off the spot, w/ no quit. Even used it on really broken down Sunday afternoon shot, and as long as I found any head oil, it was very impressive. I thought with the drilling I used that it would pick up too quick and die if it saw the dry too quickly. Just the opposite. It picked up quick once it saw dry, but it NEVER quit.  Really anxious to try it on some longer patterns. I may play with the cover to see the differences. Just wondering if anyone else who has thrown this ball has similar experience. And the smell....Could go into a diabetic coma if you get too close to it for too long! Reminds me of grape Bubble Yum (Ah, memories of my youth).

I have a 6x4 T'Struck that I NEVER put down. For me, it's plenty of ball and takes well to release changes. I would not recommend this drilling for most bowlers as it probably would only give you a very minimal break.

This ball is a winner and it's cheap...my favorite combinations!
