Anyways, the original question. I never see heavy oil but if i did i'd use the ultimate inferno. But if it was a flood, though i don't have it, i'd want to use a goliath or that particle rule or some really strong particle.

TJ, that was an answer to someone not part of the nation.  I have to remain somewhat unbiased with them.  Otherwise i sound like part of the Lane 1 cult.

I try to push brunswick but i realize not everyone will go for it so sometimes i have to suggest something else.

Funny you had brought this up as one of the shops I deal with has been selling a boat load of Storms yet the owner was commenting how he hasn't seen much from Storm staffers this year on tour. I just believe the rest of the pack has caught up to storm when you need something that goes long and hooks hard. I like Storm but believe they are not anything better than any of the rest. They like Columbia have become the ball-release of the month club.

For one thing since when has pro shows determined what ball is the best.  For another back when I was throwing Columbias in the not to distant past(God help me) I threw a friend of mine's Intense Inferno or whatever that ugly orange piece of crisap was and my old Rock Star out performed that pumpkin.

In my opinion both companies make good stuff, I personally just prefer to throw STORM.  In the past I have good and bad experiences with both, the bad( Danger Zone HPH, DZ2, Inferno) for STORM (TRAUMA Series, FEAR FACTOR, TOXIC STORM), but then there is the good (Monster Smasher-R, Monster Slayer) and for STORM(I currently own all and like the X-FACTOR line, including the Re-Charge).
So it's just a matter of opinion and the correct drilling I believe.

Also, For all the people bashing STORM for making "too many" X-FACTOR's(Only 8 including the VERTIGO), how many ZONE'S does BRUNSWICK make or have made? On the bowlingballreviews.con web site it currently lists 67 DISCONTINUED ZONES!
That's not even including the current ZONES!  I didn't even count up how many OVERSEAS releases they have. On that same list STORM has 3 OVERSEAS releases and only 2 discontinued (Deuce and Re-Loaded, part of the original 8 listed above).
