Title: To Ragin Banshee or not to Ragin Banshee
Post by: Brodieman on May 02, 2006, 08:17:16 AM
I love the reactor coverstock, and i really want to try a particle pearl.  I have a dark thunder in my line up which i really enjoy on carrydown, early in the set though.  I was thinking that the raging would really fit under it as a nice control peace when the solid reacts to hard but the PP can knife the carrydown up in front of the pin deck.  Is anyone throwing this on these type of conditions or any success with the Ragin period?

I have a Ragin that I picked up used, and had it drilled up pin right of ring, and cg in grip.  It's generally a smooth ball, backend is a little less than I would like, but I'm pretty sure the drill has something to do with that.  I generally use it when my other stuff is overreacting, but really I don't use it that often.

I've thrown another guys slightly unfitting ball.

I also LOVE the Reactor coverstock..

I did not compare it to other balls at the time as I threw on other guys lane.

But I was impressed with it's control of the lenght of the breakpoint and then it turns on a dime and moves.

It reminded me of an Icon 2 with just as good length for a particle but even a touch more brakes when entering the break area!

It looked like a super ball to me I've heard little of.

I am using a Hot Rod Super sport pearl and it will strike on fresh AND carrydown.  That reactor stuff....SUPER!
