Nomad Pearl vs Reign
« on: November 13, 2009, 03:01:29 AM »
(Sorry to repost, hit the wrong button on previous post and it locked it to replies.)

I'm looking for something for a tournament shot where the head and mid oil has gone but the backends are still tight. Something with great length and aggressiveness to cut through the carrydown (or whatever you want to call it) on the backend.

I had narrowed it down to these 2 balls, but that doesn't mean I won't take suggestions about other balls.

Tweener, ~300rpm, high track.
My current arsenal is Mutant Cell, Virtual Gravity, Virtual Energy, Cell Pearl, 900 Global Link. I feel like I have this gap on medium/light oil where I can't use my RICO'd Cell Pearl but the Link won't recover.

That statement darn close to eliminates both of these balls since both need some head oil.  The best ball in the current Storm / Roto lineup that does what you are asking for is the Mars.  The cover on the Mars can skid through almost no head oil and still give you some nice control-pop in the backend.

I am going to agree with that statement as well, the Mars just seems to skid over anything and still leave a nice hard arc on the back end, its a better choice for what your looking for.
