I thought even with less...height I want a ball that ROLLS like Steve Cooks...

As I think the used the term...was it "rumbling" or was it "thundering"!?

My Deuce(good ball...can't figure out how the TriExtreme was such a dog...triple wasn't!) almost does it...but I want MORE!

The XXXtreme was one of the biggest turd balls Storm ever made.

I don't understand why this ball is a "turd" like you said.  It has ACCU-TREAD cover and the RAD core.  I am serious, I don't get why some people say this ball wasn't good.

If you want a ball that dies quicker than an Ebonite, get one! I was not a fan of most ACCU-tread and Rad cores with few exceptions. I didnt like either XXX, I didnt like the ACE, I never threw the Vertigo but, I liked the Trifecta and the X-factor. That is about it!

I got one of these from a friend who left Storm staff for Big B.Took it to my driller and he layed it out just like Doust suggested.
THEN I read the least favorite ball thread in this forum. After it showed up on almost every hate list I lost interest.
About 2 months later I took my son to have a ball drilled my my driller told me to get it out of his shop already.
Well we went to throw his ball and do the fine tuning and I figured I'd put a game on the XTreme.
I love this ball.It saved my season.I went from even to ++ in prize money,Shot a 300 and won two sweepers with that ball.
BIG lesson for me.One man's trash...

As far as burning out I look at high performance balls like racing tires.I don't put high performance tires on the family SUV cause it is a waste and they wear out quickly.

Every major company today has at least one ball in their mid-priced line that wears forever and will handle THS with no problem.

I save the high end stuff for those conditions that call for it.

I don't know what the hating is on this ball honestly... I hated the duece with a passion  but this ball hooks up well for me.  It was exactly as I told them I wanted... a Trauma ER on steroids, it reads the mids and strong arc to the rack.  It may check up early on you if you drill it to really roll, but I went with what the driller wanted to do once I told him what I wanted.  I wanted this to be my oiler ( I have a heavy hand) and I wanted length with a strong backend, this resulted in a pin below the ring and kicked the rad out a bit if I recall correctly.  I couldn't find oil enough to slow it down for a while, so I hit some shine on it and voila I have a great spotty condtions medium ball. I love it. Now I don't like to hook the lane, I prefer straiter up the boards (my rotation doesn't though) so a ball that is controllable is great to me, and what I consider to be mediums might be a  little heavier than what most consider medium, but I think its a great ball and if you get it and decide its not what you want to drill then I will make you a reasonable offer for it.

I just got one as an all-arounder.  Drilled label and polished up.  It works great for me so I don't know why anyone doesn't like it.  However, I am assuming someone that didn't like it was probably using it OOB, and I haven't used it like that yet.

The ball carries bad/light hits for me and it hooks.  What more do you want?  Strawberry scent?  It has that too actually.
