Really no comparison at all. Crux Pearl has a more aggressive coverstock and much more aggressive core. Now, the Crux Pearl doesn't hook as much as I expected it to, which I think is a good thing. It's more versatile and usable on many conditions, and it's pretty smooth and controllable for a strong pearl with that strong of a core. It's a house shot killer for me. Expect it to be earlier, smoother, and hook several boards more than the HRP.
