Tropical BREEZE... a TRUE dry lane ball???

Oh, I hope so!

 

They were Released today.

 

The regular Tropical Storms were way too strong for dry lanes. Me and lots of others have been wanting to see another line of balls similar to the Blue Hot, Red Hot, and Flames for several years now...and I hope our cries have finally been heard!

 

I haven't gotten one yet... but will buy several of the Pearl version if they are what I am hoping they are!

 

I hope these fit great under the Neptune from Roto Grip... if they do, then that would be perfect!

 

Anybody thrown one yet?

I'd suggest you bypass the pearl and get a solid, if you want real control.
And given its stock surface, 1500 grit polished, you can take it to 2000, 3000 or 4000 grit and add polish for more length and more control.

Word of warning -- the Breezes still have Reactor coverstock on them. That coverstock is very responsive to friction and nowhere nearly as weak as people assume.

Agreed, I think looking elsewhere to either discontinued "older" tech balls or looking urethane is the real best option, there aren't many reactives on the market right now that are true dry lane pieces.

Brunswick Slingshot is not jumpy in the 98% case. It and the Avalanche Urethane are true dry lane balls.
 
That said, I cannot rule out the new Breeze until I try one. That new core is as rolly as you can get. I only recommended the Solid to Ric as a best, safest option, vs the pearl Reactor, if he does want to try the Breeze.
