Anarchy and Reign Supreme - Quick review
« on: September 17, 2010, 06:45:59 AM »
Threw both balls for videos yesterday and here's what I see:

Anarchy - Layout - 45 x 5 1/8 x 40

First I threw it on the fresh house pattern against the Invasion and Virtual Energy (both balls are two of my favorites on the market). For me the Invasion is a very strong midlane ball with great continuation. The VE is about 3-5 boards less overall but similar ball motion as the Invasion. The Anarchy was about 5-7 boards less then the Invasion. The Anarchy allowed me to play straighter and closer to the burn on the fresh house pattern. The Anarchy had more length then the VE with more kick off the friction.

Later on after we bowled a bunch of games and blew the lanes apart I came back out and tried the Anarchy again. This ball was perfect. Now I could move left and play to the burn. The ball cleared the early hook easily and still finished hard on the backend.

Reign Supreme - Layout - 50 x 5 x 65

I also tried the Reign Supreme on the fresh house pattern. I wasn't sure what to expect from this ball. The CAM core seems really strong. For me the Reign is real skid flip. It curves a ton off the friction and skids too far in oil. The Reign of Fire just flat out hooks early. It is a great ball for strokers or rev challenged players. The Reign Supreme flat out curves from the midlane and thru the backend. The Supreme never quit and it wasn't allergic to the oil like the Reign. For those that loved the Hyroad, you will love this ball just as much (if not more!). I feel the Supreme gave me more thru the backend than a Hyroad.

Just like with the Anarchy, I also threw the Supreme after we beat the lanes up. The Supreme was still clean through the front of the lane and really maintained its ball motion through the backends.

In comparing the Anarchy to the Reign Supreme, the Anarchy gets down the lane much longer. The Supreme is more midlane, yet both balls have great backend!
