Storm's Covers
« on: July 30, 2008, 02:47:32 AM »
Alright, here's a question for you Storm Troopers:  What exactly are the differences between the different variations of the Reactor coverstock? I'm looking both subjectively and objectively (I think those are the terms:  scientific and opinionated).

For me:

Reactor:  Longest, most "flip/skid" reaction
R2S:  A bit more mid-lane grab, not too much but enough to be noticed.  A smoother backend in general
R2X:  Earliest of the three, and easily the more predictable for me.

Obviously, you aren''t a golfer.

Basically you summed it up.  R2X handles more oil than R2S which handles more oil than Reactor.  Also, R2X is a lower absorbtion cover, so it will suck up less oil and last longer.  I don't work for Storm, I don't have any numbers, but that's the claim from the company plus the real-world results I've seen.
