Ball is great but it doesnt hook for me I played up 5 last week and this week Ive tried slowing down i tried different hand poss. and even messing with the cover ant ideas what to do if i cant figure it out I think ill have to get rid of it
-
How do you have it drilled?
-
We need info here. Drilling pattern, surface prep, lane conditions, your rev rate and ball speed, etc. After we get that info,we might be able to help.

Don't "think"---that ball isn't in your bag yet..........

Label drill oob med to light oil bout 325-350 rev rate med speed sorry forgot to put that in the first time

I have mine drilled pin above bridge with cg kicked out a little under ring finger and it hooks a lot.
-
Thanks for the imput

For you, a label drill might just make the ball go too long for you.

Try hitting it with a 2000 abralon pad to take some of the factory polish off. That may help it grab a little bit more.

Hmm..Lets see what I have in this bag...some magic, some hot sauce, and a saw.. how can I loose?

Have you tried moving your feet and your target? Maybe the 5 board isn't where the shot is for that ball. The Second Dimension's strong cover needs oil to get down the lane and retain energy for the back part of the lane, and usually there isn't a whole lot of oil outside of 5 on most league shots.
Also, as always, video would help immensely. If you can't get the Second Dimension to hook, you're either doing something very wrong, or you're just playing the lanes wrong and exaggerating how bad the problem is. For reference, the Second Dimension will cover more boards than anything else in my bag on a medium to medium-heavy oil pattern, and it's not even drilled very strong. I did, however, have to change the cover to get it to handle any oil. The factory polish was too high gloss, so I sanded it with 2000 abralon then applied polish myself just by hand, I didn't use a spinner. Much more midlane read now.

I really dont think iam doing something that wrong maybe take a 2000 to it but where i bowl it doesnt hook as much as everyone says i like the ball its a good down and in ball, but i bought it to play midland and it doesnt do that my hy-road is better in the midlane then the 2d

Lefty,
Without seeing you bowl or knowing what the shot you bowl on is like its tough to solve the problem, have you gone back to your pro shop operator and let him watch you throw it? This may be your best bet.
I will throw in a few suggestions...If by label dril you mean a "1:30" layout with the pin next to your ring finger and cg in the center of your grip, this may be your problem...depending on your PAP this could place your pin anywhere from 2"-5" from your PAP, and this makes a HUGE difference in ball reaction. If its drilled too strong, it may be seeing too much friction playing the 5 board on a typical house shot, and it could be losing its energy before it even gets to the pins. You may have to move in and find more head oil to help the ball retain energy better. If its drilled on the weaker side, a surface change should do the trick, try 4000 first and then 2000 if that doesnt work.
Good Luck!
