Replacement for Super Charge..
« on: February 08, 2010, 01:15:07 PM »
I would like an opinion on what would be a similiar ball to the Super Charge.  I've had it since it came out and it has always been a great rolling ball..When I first got it, it was a real hooker.  Over the years, it's turned into a decent med/heavy oil ball.  Today, it came back with a big hunk taken out in the track. I was told a year ago that it was almost too small in size to use anymore so, I figure it isn't worth sanding or plugging the spot. So, what would give me a similiar reaction to what it has today? Thanks..

I also had a Super Charge, and it was probably one of, if not my favorite ball of all time (and I have owned a lot over the years).  I always kept it at about 4000 grit, and it would ignore the heads, but read the midlane very well. I guess the current ball in the Storm lineup that might be close would be the Reign of Fire. It is also a strong symmetrical solid, whose cover is tunable to changes, and is overall a very versatile piece.  I plan on picking one (or two) up in the near future.
