Original X-Factor vs Thing Returns

Anybody thrown both of these?

Threw a friend of mine's X-Factor today and it was almost what I'm looking for... I've been searching for a particular ball reaction for a while now. I need something that goes just a touch longer, or that is cleaner in the heads, than the original X-Factor. And I'm wondering if the Thing Returns is what I'm looking for?

I want the same strong backend reaction as the X-Factor but more length or more cleanliness through the heads.

Is the Thing Returns the ball I'm looking for?

If I have the picture correct, you want more length than the X-Factor with the same general amount of backend?

If that's right, you might want to consider
- Roto-Grip Silver Streak Pearl, or
- Dyno-Thane Vendetta Pearl, or
- Storm Recharge, or
- Brunswick Punisher, or
- Legends Satisfaxion, or
several others.

The Thing Returns, being a Soaker, can start slightly earlier, with slightly more midlane, than many similar resin pearls. YOu could, of course, just use a higher pin position (or longer pin-PAP distance) on it or the balls above to get that added length. You never mentioned the drillings on the two you talked about. That can change their reactions and ball path considerably.

Charlest, that Silver streak pearl turns sideways i would look for that.

It is discontinued however.  The RS-1 is earlier than all of these, but much more in the backend.  I say go with the Recharge.

I would buy the thing returns set it up one of these 2  ways.

But your drillings depends on your "hand" and your oil patterns, doesn't it now? What Ric may need to do is uncertain, although he should know.

The Recharge seems like what I'm needing.

Something that is longer and stronger than the X-Factor.
