Title: Vertigo problem

I have just received my Vertigo and I have a problem.  If you look at the ball and place the cg in the center of the clock and the pin at 12 o'clock the RAD is at 8:30.  How do you lay this ball out with out a weight hole needing to take out about 2 ounces.

I wanted to place the pin near my ring finger(4 3/4" from PAP) and the Rad inbetween the strong and VAL.  If I do that the cg will be some 4 1/2" from my center of grip.  BAll has a 2.74oz top weight.  I don't even think would be able to made legal.

Any suggestions.

Have the ball spun to check if the RAD was marked in the correct place.  Then lay out the ball and weight it to see where the static weights would end up.  If you can't get it legal without a huge weight hole or at all, then you need to get another one or think of a different drilling.

The CG's sometimes are off center as such and limits drillings...it just happens on some balls.

Yeah I was definitely thinking about having the ball spun to make sure that the RAD was marked correctly.  Still though even if it is off I do not think the deviation of the RAD marking will be significant enough to allow for the way that I would like to drill it.  I could be wrong though.  We'll have to wait and see.

I believe you said it best in that I need to see if I can swap this ball out for another with better alignment of pin, cg and RAD.

I think the RAD balls are spun at the factory, even then.......

With only 2.74 top weight you should still be fine getting the ball back to legal.  Start with about a 1 inch bit going to about 2 3/4 or 3 inches deep.  I bet that will get you close.  You can always go deeper or use a bigger bit, or both.

2.74 top weight is really pretty low, the way Storm and Brunswick are making their balls right now, usually come with lots more than that!
