Diablo or Pyro
« on: April 11, 2006, 10:42:11 AM »
looking at both of these balls and obviously on the lighter condition the solid mostlikely will move more than the Particle Pearl but i will be bowling on a heavy medium and like the style of these balls, the reactions you can get and just they are the last two i'm down to in the search of my new ball, now on a heavy-medium oil condition which would perform better, i have a hybrid for below them so its not a big deal on the lighter stuff

i'm leaning towards the pyro at the moment tho

I think the Diablo would perform better due to it's 800-matte finish.  The Pyro has a 1500 grit polish that'll probably skid too far on that pattern (unless you have massive hand and slow speed).  The Pyro is designed to smooth out the wet/dry reaction that can happen with the Fired Up, but maintain most of the ability to clear the heads and recover on the backend because of the 1500 grit polished finish OOB.  I have a Diablo that was drilled weak and it still handled oil pretty well.  As a matter of fact, I'm getting the Diablo redrilled this week with more of a neutral layout so I can change the reaction with my hand/wrist position.  Can't wait to try it out on the heavier patterns or wet/dry patterns.

I've always had better luck with Storm covers at 800 matte finish, can't say why, just do. I'd go with the Diablo..JMO
