Something new coming
« on: November 10, 2009, 08:40:18 AM »
I have heard that Storm has a new ball that is going to be a part of the Premier line. It will be one of their most aggressive balls yet. Has anyone heard anything too?

I missed out on the "urethane era" of bowling, so I decided to punch up a Natural. I'm loving it right now! What a nice change from the super aggressive resin equipment. The predictability and smooth motion from it allows me to play closer to the dry. I wish more companies would release WEAKER equipment rather than the hook monster we've been accustomed to in the sport today.

@bowler82 - you do know the first ball you posted is the Hy-Road right? And the second post is the long discontinued Domination.

I hear the Virtual Gravity will look weak in the near future. And for those that question why more hook -- EVERYONE WANTS TO FEEL LIKE A BIG BOY! Count the VG's on a typical league night and I bet it's more than all of the other Storm balls combined. People just feel a need to own the biggest toy, God Bless 'em! -)

The ball racks in my center look like orange and blue fruit stands every league night.

Wrong - his first link shows the Hy-road Extreme.  Probably an overseas release, though.

I do not feel "big" when I either cannot get the ball into the pocket because it hooks away uncontrollably, or when it hits like a wet noodle because it burns up as soon as it touches dry ground.

Did I miss something?

Storm does need a new piece.  The Virtual Gravity, does not work for a lot of bowlers.  So this sends them to other companies to find that oil hook ball.  They need an oil ball that is more versatile for the average bowlers.  Remember, good bowlers can make anything work, we are talking about the average bowlers.

Virtual Energy is a great ball. I didn't like the VG. The energy was the ball I was looking for.
