Problem with my SonIQ
« on: December 14, 2018, 01:54:12 PM »
I have a marvel pearl and a SonIQ both drill exactly the same butfor what ever reason the soniq is just a total bust..I mainly throw a down and in shot 15 mph and a rev rate of 300 and axis tilt of 12 degrees..I can throw the marvel between the second and third arrow and it nails the pocket, the same throw with the soniq and usually cant make it to the pocket leaving me with a nasty split..Also it sounds crazy but even when it dose hit the pocket it just dose not sound right..Is it the hd core or is it the r2s cover?I know the marvel is r2sx and the soniq is r2s..I throw the hy-road 80% of the time in a 40 foot house shot and was hoping the soniq would help me out on warn down lanes but as of now it is a total let down..

Several people initially had really good luck with Soniq around here but now I dont see anyone throwing them.  Interestingly my my marvel pearl has pretty much died and reacts much like you describe your Soniq.   I just drilled an Idol pearl to replace it.  Looks like it us going to be a winner. Especially on flatter longer patterns.  I also drilled a Honey Badger which might be better on house shots.

Never had any luck with my soniq... For me it's just way to much for what I see so it's never been usable

Thanks everyone for the feedback...I will try using a 3000 pad to it..I did recently take a 1000 pad to it and left it at a matte finish and still wasnt any better..If nothing eles it might just be my new spare ball..

The Soniq is really early, I actually think it’s earlier than a Marvel Pearl which makes no sense to me.
