One of the houses that I bowl at seems to have lowered their oil volume, as such I am starting league using the bottom of my bag (Hustle INK at 4K polished).  I want to create a new bottom of my bag and I was thinking of either the VE or IQ Tour Pearl.

My current bag:  Phase 2, Code Black, Hustle INK

Potential new bag:  Phase 2, Hustle INK, VE or IQ Pearl

I believe the VE has a fair amount of games on it (bought it used) because it doesn't seem as strong as it once was.  The IQ Pearl has never been a ball that I have matched up well with (I don't get the same strong reaction that everyone else gets) and I thought maybe using it on drier conditions, instead of fresh, might produce better results.

Thoughts?

I have tried them all except Hustle Ink.  Take a look at after dark solid.   I can get square on a lower volume of oil than with ither dry lane balls.  It will still over under, but you can get better reaction while keeping your projection angles tighter

Mind if I ask how your IQTP is drilled?

Basically its the same layout as the balls used a matchmaker/demo day....pin over bridge with CG straight down.

Not sure, I have never asked my PSO for a specific number(s).  Whenever I am having a ball drilled, prior to getting it, I think about what I want from the ball and then talk with my PSO for their opinion about layouts. 

Is most of your other stuff drilled "Stronger"?

My layouts vary a little.  In most layouts, I put the pin directly over or under the ring finger (CG stacked or kicked out) and occassionally a 4x4x2 layout with the CG stacked or kicked in.
