I'll answer your 2nd question first. The Anarchy was the only ball to use R3X pearl in the lineup. That ball was discontinued almost 2 weeks ago but should still be able to find it pretty easily. The VG Nano was the first to use the NRG Solid Reactive (Nano) cover. The new Vivid is using the same cover as the VG Nano, but different core inside.
If THS is heavy volume, I usually start with the VG Nano or Anarchy and then go down to either the 919C/Vital Energy or the Nomad Dagger depending on carrydown. If lanes are drier, I will go Vital Energy/Nomad Dagger/Rising Star. I have seen several in league use a Reign Supreme and/or a Hy-Road which handles the carrydown well in most places.
Now that may change since I am drilling up a RG Defiant, Hammer Brick, and a Track 505T soon...
