Virtual Gravity at 2000
« on: April 09, 2009, 08:05:28 PM »
Anyone have their Virtual at 2000 grit abralon ? How is it compare to it's OOB 4000 abralon ? Smoother arc and not so angular ?
Will the ball reaction at 2000 grit be similar to the Dimension at 2000 grit (OOB) ? Thanks !

I  took mine to 2000 and it reacts much better.  4000 was way, way to close to my regular gravity with out the forgiveness.  4000 had too much over under.  The pro shop owner did the same also and we both have had greater success.

It doesn't lose the hitting power, but now rolls more consistent.  It is still angular, but with it getting up a bit earlier it is touch smoother.

I can't compare it to the Dimension b/c not a lot of people in my area throw it and the few that did, didn't have great things to say about it.

I have mine at 2000 with a light shine. It's smoothed out the reaction some. Maybe a little more mid lane reaction and slightly less on the backend, not a huge difference but just enough for my game(slightly speed dominant).

What this has done is that as the shot breaks down and I move inside I can carry the corners now. At 4000 OOB as I moved in on the lane all I left was corner pins.

I agree with the others. My VG was a bit too long and strong oob. At 2000, it picks up just soon enough and still offers very strong backend and hitting power. For me, this ball is much better at 2000 than 4000.
