Virtual Gravity compared to Paradigm Passion

If anybody has thrown both of these pieces OOB, what are the differences?

N00dlejester,

My Virtual is on it's way - I'll let you know once I get a chance to drill it up.  IMO Storm hasn't had a real oiler since the Passion.  Not sure I will throw the Virtual OOB though... was planning on bring it to 2000.

Not close - VIRTUAL is miles stronger. I will have my full review of VIRTUAL and HY-ROAD up this evening hopefullu - used both this weekend.

Thanks for the updates guys.

I agree with Greene...I'm sort of looking to get a fresh face in the "heavy oil" spot since my Passion is aging.  But like wine, it's aging with grace.

The VIRTUAL is an expanion of Storm's arsenal in the "most hook" range.  I would put it a few boards more than the DIMENSION.  Depending on surfaces used, I would say the VIRTUAL at box 4,000 is probably a good arrow more than the PASSION at 1,000-2,000.

Wow!  Hold on, let me say it again.  Wow!  The Virtual Gravity is the best heavy oil ball I've ever thrown.  Period.

At 2000 (for my arsenal I thought 2000 would make more sense) this ball has control in heavy oil (like a Passion) but turns hard like a pearl when it finds dry.  The backend angle is where this ball differs from the Dimension as the turn is much more angular than the Dimension.

n00dlejester, if you are looking for a better version of the Passion look no further.

I loved the Passion.  That ball never had trouble getting into a roll, and I rarely had a roll-out problem with it on drier conditions, it just crossed over a lot, lol.

Storm's heavy oilers are money, but their weaker gear is questionable (for me).  Viva la Passion!

The low end stuff (aka Street Rods) are "off the hook"!!! The rest of the ball are far from low end.

Last year after 23 weeks into my Tuesday night season I was averaging 199 using a new Resurgance. I saw a Passion on e-bay and got it for $85. Ended up averaging 206. Figured it out and it was 218 average for the last 12 weeks. Best stretch I've ever had.

Just wondering, to those who have thrown this ball, what is your pin to PAP distance?  I may be getting one and I'm kinda lost on were I'd go for that part of the layout.

i really liked my passion. sold it as i went to lower weight. i now have a gravity shift and domination and i really like them both. however,on the heavier shots i need help as neither one of these is for heavier stuff. i was never able to use my passion on heavy oil so i polished it and it was great on ths.
   I have a cell at 2000 and an odyssey at 500 and they are not cutting the mustard either .Looking for something i can trust if i have to move into soup that will offer recovery . Its hard for me to feed the ball straighter up the lane ,and my feed right style works well most places so its hard to change .I am getting better at keeping the ball on a tighter line ,but on the occassional 2 to 3 board miss wave it good bye and to move left and play out to 13 is hard because i dont have the revs to generate the friction to get back. would this ball give me the help i need,I no longer look for miracle balls as i know they dont exist and i dont need a miracle just seperation ,a ball that i either can use or cant. right now i can use them all or i cant use any.
    I have the cell ,odyssey,gravity shift,domination(rico drier lane) and these are my main balls. Low rev 14 -16 mph avg. 160 in this particular house and 204 at my other. I am not great ,but i am only as good as my equipment
