I am really sick of high performance balls. They're great when you need them - but our area is full of proprietors who are suffering an oil shortage. They "condition" the lanes - just not with a whole lot of oil.

I have a fair amount of hand with low speed - anything stronger than the value line balls is just too much. The strongest thing I carry with me is an Ebonite Clash - paired with a Tropical Storm.

Anyway - I'm looking for a ball that will allow some power to last till the pins - so that I can carry a higher percentage of shots. I can hit the pocket with almost anything - at almost any time - but carry - that's another thing. Will this ball help me???
thanks in advance for your input.

By the way - my driller said that he would probably drill the ball aggressively, so the core could do what it was meant to do.

My driller set mine up for burnt lane conditions. Then we polished it. I did not like the way it worked. So we took the polish off and I love the ball. Don't know how I would do if we drilled it real strong.

Mine is drilled 45 x 4 1/2 x 70.  This is about as aggressive as I ever drill a ball.  Surface is 2000.

Ball is great when there is some oil up front with very dry backends.  Short patterns like Cheetah and Viper allow this ball to really shine!

I bowl on some very extreme wet/dry guardian at one house and have had great success with the Natural on fresh and then a Power Groove, when I need a length/recovery.

Mine is drilled similar to the #3 layout (for maximum flare).  I was leaving a lot of 10s and 7s so I took it down with a 1000 grit sandpaper so I could get a better entry angle into the pocket (BTM suggested those of us with lower revs might want to take it down).  That solved the problem.

I can use the ball on dry to medium or when the heads are heavy but the backends dry.  Also helps with over/under... urethane is so predictable and the extra surface helps it cut through the oil.  We don't get a lot of oil out here either and I love this ball.

Really a great choice for playing very straight on the majority of houses across America.  I had to go outside the first arrow during the open house to get the ball rolling quick enough.  Stronger than I thought, but carried much better than expected!
