Question on Polar Ice
« on: August 15, 2012, 07:17:36 PM »
Who knows anything on this one?  A friend tried it and said it was weak.  Spare ball maybe?

There are (2) Polar Ice balls, one a urethane solid (green) and one urethane pearl (red). Both have a very simple weight puck. Both are just a step above a spare ball. However, I did drill one for a high rev customer who rolled a 300 with it, so they can do the job on a fried shot. I am drilling a pearl this week for a customer who wants a spare ball/dry lane ball. I hope this helps!

This would be a very useful and controllable ball at some of the tournys I attend. Add good speed....with just a little bend to it, and you have an awesome piece on fried lanes!
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!

I got one as a spare ball because plastic just doesn't last long for me at all.  And if I'm on the 2012 Womens US Open pattern it makes a pretty good strike ball.
