Is there really any difference between the Vivid and Nano on how they perform other than maybe a board or two?
If you watch the video in the link below between the 1:18 and 1:28 mark, they are are almsot identical in their performance.

thats the nano pearl though
Here's our video.
@ 2:25, we compare the Virtual Gravity Nano Solid to the Vivid. What we saw was that the overall board coverage is quite similar. The VG Nano got just a bit more length and slightly less readable midlane when compared to the Vivid.
It's pretty close, honestly. It will be a tough call to choose between them or to justify having both.
I will say for myself, I didn't get to use the Nano as much as I liked because I don't see as much oil as I would like. However, using these balls side by side, I liked the Vivid very much and actually remembered why I liked the Nano. In their OOB finishes and differences in core, the reaction is different enough. If you like to play with surface, it will be even harder to justify having both.
In the end, I believe the MAD core in the Vivid offers slightly more control and readable reaction than the Shape-Lock HD core in the VG.

I personally do not think there is enough of a difference to warrant having both.
