Marvel Pearl: Pin Up Vs Pin Down
« on: April 04, 2012, 03:08:45 PM »
Hey everyone.  Currently throwing a Nano and DV8 misfit Pin up.  THinking about getting the Marvel Pearl to fit in the middle, but not sure if I should go with pin up or Down on this ball.   I throw the ball from high 15 mph to mid 16 mph.  Medium revs.  More of a power tweener.  Please offer advice on why either Up or Down would work better...

Thank you

A friend has two marvel pearls, one pin up and one pin down.  As expected the pin up one goes long and is very angular and the pin down is earlier and smoother.  Not sure how your Nano is drilled but I assume it starts reading the midlane fairly early and the misfit pin up is long and somewhat angular.  Based on this I would think the pin down marvel pearl would fit nicely in between these two.  It should go a little longer than the Nano but not as long as the Misfit.

I have a pin up and pin down marvel pearl. Can't go wrong with either. The pin up is a little more versatile it literally works on everything. The pin down you need a little more head oil in order to use.
