Warranty Question
« on: August 23, 2017, 01:59:46 PM »
Hello Bowling Family,
First I usually throw Hammer. This is my first ball i bought that was not hammer. The ball is the Timeless and it is dead. I keep up on all maintenance. My ball is dead. Is this covered under the warranty?

No. You would never need to buy a new ball if they replaced every ball you felt was "dead' under warranty.

Has it been "dead" since Day 1?  Years ago I had a Storm ball that would not react on the lane right out of the box.  Sent it back, Storm analyzed it, and determined it was bad and replaced it under warranty.

How many games on your ball?

A lot of games is on the timeless. I never had this issue with hammer or the IQ tour (which was purchased in the same month). Just was wondering. Thank you guys.

It probably just needs de-oiled and resurfaced. I'm sure that will bring it back to new.

Did you buy it from a pro shop or online?

If you bought it from a pro shop, my recommendation is to have a conversation with the PSO that sold it to you.  If you can convince the PSO that the ball is defective, a warranty claim can be filed.  My experience with Storm is that they will honor a warranty claim from a trusted Pro Shop/PSO.

If not, I would suggest that you continue your conversation with the PSO about adding the Timeless to the "rack of broken dreams" (aka the used ball rack) and negotiate purchasing a different ball at a discount.

Just remember the be polite and respectful.  I would not recommend starting the conversation with "This ball sucks!!!"

A sportcoupe,
I love the ball and would purchase another one. I wouldn't say the ball sucked. I will go to my PSO as he is a member of storm and see what he say.
